User interface of Nokia Asha 303 is Series 40 software touch screen enabled. It is not new as most of the people have already come across using this user interface in other touch screen phones of Nokia like C2-02 and C2-03. Home screen is divided into four parts and each part offers shortcuts to personalize. Hence, the user interface of this phone is pretty fair if we consider that of other mobile phones of similar price.

Camera quality of this phone is pretty good according to its price. A 3.2MP camera is present in this phone which helps the user to take images of fine quality. Additional options are also present for making the image quality better by taking snaps in perfect condition. Additional options include white balance, exposure and different types of effects. You can capture snaps by tapping on the camera button which is displayed at the center-bottom of the screen.

Image quality of Nokia Asha 303 is not more than average because pictures taken from the phone are quite noisy. Image looks good when taken in adequate light but becomes noisy in dim light. Therefore, camera and image quality should be categorized as average.

Calling and Contacts

Considering calling first, you can easily and quickly call anyone from this phone. There are several simple ways of calling, i.e. by simply dialing the phone number of person you want to contact or choose the number of that person from contacts if it is saved in your phone from before. You can also call him by selecting his number from home screen if you have added his number in the shortcut.

Saving and locating contacts is very easy. You only need to dial a number and save it by simply tapping on Save after typing his name. You can also add details of that person like his birthday, email address and other contact numbers of him. You can locate any contact by typing first few letters of his name on the search bar of contacts.

Web accessibility

We know that web accessibility in Nokia phones have not been that good in the past. But people experience relatively different type accessibility as it has improved web browser. Web pages load quickly and pages open faster than older Nokia devices. Autosuggestion is an excellent option offered in this phone. Nokia Asha 303 contains standard battery i.e. Li-Ion 1300mAh (BP-3L). Battery performance is pretty good. It provides standby up to 720 hours and talk time of about 8 hours 10 minutes. Adding to it, experts and professionals say that you can play music up to 47 hours continuously when the battery is fully charged. If you use your phone for many hours then you will need to charge it after every 25-26 hours which is not bad.

Connectivity

Connectivity of this phone is quite good as there are various options for connectivity. Version 2.1 of Bluetooth is available in this phone which makes it convenient to share files locally. Presence of Wi-Fi is an attractive feature of this phone. Wi-Fi allows the owner to socialize easily. USB is also present in Nokia Asha 303 so it is convenient for the owner to manage and share files with desktop or laptop. Samsung Monte is a phone which contains many features of different types. It has 3.2MP camera, 3-inch touchscreen, sound clarity, web accessibility and good connectivity options. However, this phone cannot be called a smart phone and it doesn’t have any feature which can create an impact in the market.

User Interface

User interface of Samsung Monte is not so good because you will face problems in using this phone. First of all, you will think that touchscreen of this phone is not good but after using it for some more time you will realize that touchscreen is fine but interface is not good. When you slide the screen for changing home screen you will notice that most of the times you will end up selecting any app as it will be launched instead of sliding the home screen to next page. Hence, you need to select the right place for changing the home screen and this is very frustrating after some days of use. Camera of this phone is fine as it has 3.2MP camera which can be used for capturing images of fine quality. You can take images of good quality only when the light is sufficient because there is no Flash in this phone. As flash is not available in this phone you can’t take images in dim light because nothing will be fairly visible. But a front camera is available and this is a positive point for this phone. Front camera is used for video calling mainly as the camera is not very good for capturing normal images in good quality. Smile detection of rear camera is available but it is rarely used as it’s not much superior. 4X zoom are present but it is recommended that you don’t use it because it reduces the perfection of camera.

Calling of this phone is good because you get good signal even in the places where some other mobiles lose signals. Sound clarity during the call is quite good but not the best obviously. When you switch to loudspeakers, voice clarity reduces but it is not a problem because it may happen due to background noise of the other party. When considering contacts of this phone it is not more than a simple system. When you tap on contacts, your contact list will appear which consists of names of people and their respective numbers. There is no option of connecting contacts with social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

Web accessibility

Web accessibility of this phone is fair and not much good. Dolphin browser is preloaded in this phone as TouchWiz always favors it. Searching anything in dolphin browser is simple and webpage loads fairly. There is no option of pinch zoom but you can get bigger view of the web pages by another way. You need to touch and hold the screen for some time until a magnifying glass appears for zooming it. Web accessibility of this phone is only satisfactory because you will not feel pleasure to spend time on web due to old system of accessing.

Memory Capability

Memory capability is good as per the features of this phone because this type of phone doesn’t needs much storage capacity as the user will not store tremendous number of files in this phone. It has internal memory of 200MB but you can insert an external microSD card up to 16GB as it is supported. A 16GB memory card for this phone is more than enough as one can hardly use the total space of memory card by storing files in this phone.

Battery of Samsung Monte is good as per its features. It has 1000mAh battery which allows talk time of 4 hours and standby of 450 hours. You can use this phone for long time without charging it. The main reason why it needs less charging is that it is not much superior phone. Owner of this phone doesn’t keeps on doing something all day in this phone because of its interface and minor errors. However, this favors the battery and performance of this phone.

Connectivity

Connectivity of Samsung Monte is fair as you get many options in this phone such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and USB. Although many options are present yet you will not be completely satisfied by using it because it lacks speed and excellence. Wi-Fi network drops down sometimes leaving you embarrassed and frustrated by it. Bluetooth 2.1 is fine as you can share files locally with other mobiles by connecting wirelessly. You can also share and manage files by connecting your phone to computer via USB port.

Gaming

You can play adequate number of games in your Samsung Monte as some games are preloaded in this phone and games are downloadable too. You can download games from different sources and install it for playing in your phone. Gaming experience is fine but not very impressive because of its small touchscreen as it has only 3 inch touchscreen. However, if you want games in your phone just for time pass then you will not mind playing them in your Samsung Monte.

Samsung Monte should be rated 5 out of 10 because no feature is present in this phone which can create impact in the market. Though, features of this phone can satisfy the needs of the person who has been using entry level phones till date yet people who are familiar to smart phones will not afford it. You can see all the home screens together by pinching your display. Hence, this phone has good user interface by which one can be attracted.

Camera and Image Quality

Samsung Galaxy S has 5MP rear camera and VGA camera on the front side. Rear camera is excellent when any object is captured with light. When you want to capture a photo in dim light or no light you will surely feel disappointed because you will get a poor image as there is no flash and no LED light. This is very disappointing because a Smartphone of this range must have at least a flash so that one can capture images in dim light. Front camera is good for purposes like video calling as you don’t use this camera for taking snaps basically. There are multiple numbers of scene modes which helps you to capture good snaps when the object is receiving adequate light. You can also merge two images using “Add me filter”. Calling and contacts are very good in this mobile phone. This Android phone has user friendly system which allows every person to make calls and add contacts easily and quickly. Contacts that are saved in phone are displayed in a list with a photo beside their name if set by the user. For adding a contact you can simply dial a number in your number pad and then tap on the option “Add to contacts”. You can prevent multiple saved contacts of a same person by joining contacts. This is a good option in this phone because most of the times people save multiple contacts of a person and cannot join them. User Interface

Most of the other mobile phones of Samsung of standard range released till date have classic type user interface. Phones with classic interface are easy to use but at the same time, it doesn’t reflect style and value of itself. But Samsung Galaxy Ace has something different from these phones i.e. user interface of this phone is much better and stylish. Menu of Samsung Galaxy Ace contains lots of app whose icons are displayed in dozen per page. All the icons are animated and whenever you tap on any icon for launching it, it flips and changes to black main menu which is very familiar in Android phones. Hence, it has better user interface when compared to the Samsung smart phones manufactured before.

 Camera and Image Quality                                                

When we consider camera and image quality of Samsung Galaxy Ace, it is not much attractive because the camera is not that good as per its price. It has a 5 MP camera along with other camera features like LED flash and auto focus. It has smile and face detection options and geo tagging option is also available. But there is no front camera in this smart phone. Apart from this, images which are captured from its 5MP camera are just a bit better from average quality. When you see video that is captured from this phone you will feel disappointed because it is not satisfactory. Videos taken from this phone don’t look perfect in its 3.5 inch screen even. Hence, if you very fond of capturing snaps and videos frequently then you should not buy this phone because you will feel disappointed later.

Even if you are a hard mobile user, i.e. you use navigation application several times and keep some application running in background for long time, you will need to charge your phone after approx 48 hours. Low speed processor and screen of low quality play a positive role here as it enables the battery to provide better stand by. As good very is very important for a smart phone, battery of Galaxy Ace is perfect to play its role.

Connectivity

When connectivity of Samsung Galaxy Ace is considered it is good because it has multiple connectivity options. It has USB 2.0 for sharing your files from phone to computer or vice versa. Bluetooth 2.1 enables the owner of phone to share files to and from other mobile phones without connecting them via any wire. Adding to it, it has Wi-Fi which enables the owner to browse internet. Connectivity of everything is quite good as it does not get disconnected when directions are seen in phone or during 3G and when internet is used by Wi-Fi.

You can install and play Java games in this phone. Along with this, you can also get some games from Android market but remember that all games doesn’t runs in this phone because it lacks Flash Player. Overall rating of this phone should be 6.5 out of 10 because of many reasons. First, the good things of this phone are its animated icons, storage capacity, light weight, battery life and extra options. Things which would have been better are camera and screen clarity, its slow processor, small screen and a secondary camera.

Nokia has named this technology as the Nokia ClearBlack display.

Camera and Image Quality:

When it comes to camera, the phone is provided with a 5 MP camera that puts up a decent show for the purpose of capturing images and taking videos. The support of LED flash has been provided in order to encounter the problem of bad light along with the facility of autofocus. When it comes to video recording, the phone records video at 720p@30 fps which is fine with the standard of Nokia and other Smartphones. However, there hasn’t been a secondary camera which camera which has come up as a shocker.

In case of Bluetooth technology it uses the v2.1 with A2DP, EDR, on the other hand, in case of USB connection, it uses microUSB v2.0. It can also connected by other means too for the purpose of exchanging data such as GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi.

Gaming:

When it comes to gaming, the Gorilla Display is just outstanding for such purpose which makes the images look bold and bright. The screen is just ideal for gaming and mainly HD gaming. Games for such can be downloaded from the OVI store or even from Windows app store.  The games provide a leisure time as well as stress busters. However, java applications are not supported in this phone as a result of which java applications do not apply to the phone.

Overall Rating:

The phone looks extremely good and handful with its preloaded apps and stylish design. The Nokia Lumia 710 is something very different from the ideal Nokia house production and as a result of which has attracted more crowd. Overall rating is 3.5 stars out of 5 stars.

Pros and Cons:

The phone has many interesting features and especially when it comes to the processor of the phone. The phone uses Microsoft Windows Phone operating system along with Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon chipset for high performance. It also has a 1.4 GHz Scorpion CPU to assist its operations. Presence of radio has increased the liberty of operations in terms of media along with a full supported GPS system.

However there are plenty of complaints in respect of this phone when it comes to missing out on basics. A secondary camera is missing which is the prime source of video calling and hence, cuts down the chances of such. The phone being a full touch phone missed out on the much demanded QWERTY keypad which is often so useful when it comes typing long business mails and text messages.
